
Udaipur, 25 November (Udaipur Kiran): Twenty-four students of Government Mira Girls College, Udaipur, have been awarded top honours at the Ghoomar Festival held at Bhandari Darshak Mandap. The winning students were felicitated on the college campus, where staff members welcomed and congratulated them for their outstanding performance.
College Principal Prof. Deepak Maheshwari said the team delivered an impressive performance at the festival organised by the Tourism Department, bringing pride to the institution. The group secured the runner-up position and also won a special award in the Best Group Jewellery category for their traditional attire and graceful presentation.
Prof. Maheshwari added that the students’ enthusiasm, discipline and consistent practice played a key role in their success. In recognition of their achievement, the team was awarded a cash prize of ₹7,000.
The training and presentation for the event were conducted under the guidance of Prof. Nutan Kavitkar, the college’s cultural in-charge, whose mentorship contributed significantly to the students’ remarkable performance.
