Travis Scott Concert Theft: FIR Filed, CCTV Footage Under Review | Udaipur Kiran

Mumbai, 22 November (Udaipur Kiran)। American rapper Travis Scott’s high-profile concert held on 19 November at the Mahalaxmi Racecourse has come under spotlight due to multiple incidents of theft reported during the event. Police have registered an FIR against unidentified accused and have begun investigating the case, including scanning CCTV footage from the venue.

Several attendees reported losing valuable belongings and reached the police station to lodge complaints. According to Tardeo Police, complaints have been filed regarding the theft of 24 expensive smartphones and 12 gold chains, estimated to be worth around ₹18 lakh in total.

Police officials said that most of the stolen phones include iPhone 15 and iPhone 16 series models, priced between ₹1 lakh and ₹1.5 lakh, while the value of stolen gold chains ranges from ₹50,000 to ₹2 lakh.

An FIR has been registered at Tardeo Police Station under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) Sections 303(2) (theft) and 304 (collective offence). Police suspect that a professional gang may be involved, targeting large events such as concerts, music festivals and sports matches.

Investigators are now reviewing CCTV footage from all entry and exit points of the venue. Details related to lighting, security arrangements and audience entry logs have also been sought from the organisers. Police believe that some suspects may have been captured on cameras and expect progress within the next 48–72 hours.

Meanwhile, several users have shared their experiences on social media, with some even posting IMEI numbers of their missing phones.

Police have urged attendees who lost their mobile phones or jewellery to report to Tardeo Police Station at the earliest. They have also advised the public to avoid carrying expensive valuables to such large events in the future.

This show marked Travis Scott’s first live performance in Mumbai, with ticket prices ranging from ₹10,000 to ₹50,000. However, the incident has now raised serious questions over the security arrangements at the concert. The investigation is underway and arrests are expected soon.
