Rajasthan High Court Orders Security After Alleged Kidnapping Case Ignored by Bhinder Police | Udaipur Kiran

Udaipur , 15 November 2025 (Udaipur Kiran) | A case of a violent attack, kidnapping and alleged police suppression of the complaint in Bhinder police station area has raised serious questions on local law and order. The matter surfaced after Padampura resident Prakash Ahir, a readymade garments shop owner, filed an FIR accusing armed attackers of storming a house in Hita village and assaulting his family, followed by efforts within the police station to bury the report.

According to the FIR, Prakash’s younger brother, Radhakishan Ahir, had married a local adult woman, Pooja Ahir, on 18 June 2025. Following tension over the marriage, Prakash and his parents temporarily took shelter at his sister’s home in Hita village under Bhinder police limits.

Prakash stated that on the night of 24 June 2025, around 12:40 am, a group of 10–12 armed men — identified as Ratanlal (son of Bhawarlal Ahir), Vinod (son of Ratanlal), Narayan (son of Madhulal), Amprakash (son of Madhulal), Gangabai (wife of Ratanlal), Kishan (son of Nandlal), Bhagwatilal (son of Mithulal), Madhulal (son of Hiralal) and others — arrived in 4–5 vehicles. Armed with axes, swords, sticks and iron rods, they allegedly broke the door, entered the house and launched a brutal attack on Prakash and his mother Mangibai.

The attackers allegedly dragged them out, placed them in a white Swift car (RJ27 CP 1740) and abducted them in an injured condition. Prakash stated that Mangibai’s leg was pierced with an iron rod. The victims were taken towards Uttaarwada, beyond Bansi Boheda, and kept in captivity at a house in a Gairi locality, where their hands and legs were tied.

A family member alerted the police helpline 112, following which Bhinder police reached the spot and found broken doors, bloodstains, sticks and iron rods.

However, when the family approached Bhinder police station the next day, Constable Hingalajdan Charan allegedly suppressed the complaint and refused to register a case.

Prakash further alleged that the attackers brought him and his injured mother back near a school in Bhinder, where Constable Hingalaj was also present. In his presence, a ₹500 stamp paper was purchased, and a forced written settlement was allegedly prepared in the name of community elders. The victims were threatened and compelled to sign the paper, warning them of dire consequences if they attempted to file a report.

Prakash said the family rushed Mangibai to Udaipur for urgent medical treatment and has been living in fear, displaced from their home since the incident.

Through Advocate Manju Solanki, the family approached the High Court seeking protection. The High Court ordered Udaipur Range police to provide security to the family and take action against the accused.

After Prakash submitted a written complaint to the Udaipur Superintendent of Police, the SP directed immediate registration of the FIR. Range IG Gaurav Srivastava also issued orders to Chittorgarh SP and Mangalwad police to ensure security for the family.

Advocate Manju Solanki said: “By ordering security for the victim’s family, the Hon’ble High Court has opened the way for justice. This order restores the victims’ confidence and reminds the police of their responsibility.”
