Jaipur, 15 November (Udaipur Kiran). A major job racket promising contractual Nursing Officer posts at Jhalawar’s SRG Hospital has been busted. Acting swiftly on the directions of Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar, police arrested two key accused involved in cheating unemployed youths by charging ₹50,000 to ₹2 lakh per candidate in the name of providing jobs.
SP Kumar said an investigation was launched based on a complaint filed on 12 November at Kotwali Police Station by Lokesh Meena of Baran. The complainant alleged that two individuals had cheated him and three others of a total of ₹8 lakh by offering fake job appointments using forged documents.
Police set up a trap and detained main accused Saddam Hussain alias Sunny Pathan while he was travelling in a luxury car. The second accused, Rajesh Mishra, who operated the “Rakshak Placement Agency” inside SRG Hospital, was also arrested. Both have been booked under serious charges of cheating.
How the Racket Operated
Police investigation revealed that Rajesh Mishra provided contact numbers of unemployed candidates to Saddam Pathan. Saddam would convince them, collect advance payments and documents, and then issue forged appointment letters using fake seals and signatures on Mishra’s instructions.
To make the scam appear genuine, the accused recorded victims’ names in a fake attendance register, shared photos of marked attendance and even transferred an advance month’s salary to their bank accounts.
Police seized crucial evidence from Saddam’s possession, including fake appointment letters, forged seals of the hospital superintendent, bogus attendance registers, bank cheques, expensive mobile phones and a luxury car. The police are taking both accused on remand to identify others involved in the fraud.
