
Udaipur, November 13 (Udaipur Kiran): In a proud moment for Rajasthan and the City of Lakes, the FIH Junior Hockey World Cup Trophy will arrive in Udaipur on November 13, 2025, marking a historic occasion for hockey enthusiasts across the region.
The prestigious trophy will land at Maharana Pratap Airport, Udaipur, at 9:00 a.m., where it will be accorded a grand welcome by officials of Hockey Rajasthan and Hockey Udaipur, along with players, coaches, and sports lovers.
Unveiling Ceremony at City Palace
Following the airport reception, the first unveiling and viewing ceremony will take place at 10:15 a.m. in the City Palace complex, Udaipur. The event will be graced by Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar or Nivritti Kumari Mewar of the Mewar royal family, Olympian and Arjuna Awardee Ashok Kumar Dhyanchand, Hockey Rajasthan President Arun Kumar Saraswat, General Secretary Mitranand Poonia, Senior Vice President and First India News Director Dr. Mahipal Singh Nimbada, and Hockey Udaipur President Prof. Dariyaw Singh Chundawat.
The formal unveiling of the Junior Hockey World Cup Trophy will be held at 10:30 a.m. at City Palace, where local players, students, and hockey enthusiasts will get the opportunity to witness the trophy up close.
Second Ceremony at Vidya Bhawan School
The trophy will later be taken to Vidya Bhawan School, Udaipur, where the second welcoming and viewing ceremony will be held at 12:00 noon. The event will be chaired by Rajendra Bhatt, Chief Director of Vidya Bhawan Society and former Divisional Commissioner of Udaipur, with Olympian Ashok Kumar Dhyanchand as the chief guest.
Prominent attendees will include Arun Kumar Saraswat (President, Hockey Rajasthan), Mitranand Poonia (Secretary), Dr. Mahipal Singh Nimbada (Senior Vice President), Prof. Dariyaw Singh Chundawat (President, Hockey Udaipur), Shailendra Singh (CEO, Vidya Bhawan Society), Pushpa Sharma (President, Vidya Bhawan Vidya Bandhu Sansthan), Gopal Bamb (Cultural Secretary, Vidya Bhawan Vidya Bandhu Sansthan), and Ranjana Sharma (Vice Principal, Vidya Bhawan Senior Secondary School).
The program will also witness participation from Hockey Rajasthan and Hockey Udaipur officials, members of the Vidya Bhawan Old Boys Association, and young hockey players who will enthusiastically welcome the iconic trophy.

The event is being coordinated by Nahar Singh Jhala and Kuldeep Sharma, with overall supervision by Dr. Digvijay Singh Ranawat and Lalit Prajapat.
