Blast Near Delhi’s Red Fort Kills 11, Injures 24; High Alert Issued in Several States | Udaipur Kiran


New Delhi, 10 November (Udaipur Kiran) — A powerful explosion near the Red Fort on Sunday evening left 11 people dead and 24 others injured, prompting a nationwide security alert. The blast reportedly occurred in the rear section of an i20 car near Fort Metro Station Gate No. 1 around 6:52 PM.

Home Minister Amit Shah confirmed the details and visited the LNJP Hospital to meet the injured. He is also expected to visit the blast site shortly. Delhi Police Commissioner Satish Golcha said forensic teams are already on the spot and have begun evidence collection.

The police have cordoned off the area, and security forces are reviewing CCTV footage from nearby locations. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) and National Security Guard (NSG) have also been dispatched to the scene to assist in the probe.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has spoken to Home Minister Amit Shah to take stock of the situation and instructed agencies to ensure swift investigation and public safety.

In the wake of the explosion, a high alert has been issued across Delhi, Mumbai, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Haryana, Punjab, and Uttarakhand.
