Coordinated Efforts Across Departments

Multiple departments are contributing to improving road safety infrastructure:

  • The Public Works Department (PWD) has cleared roadside bushes, repaired speed breakers, installed signage, and closed unauthorized road cuts.

  • The Urban Development and Local Bodies Department has removed encroachments from footpaths, repaired streetlights, and relocated stray animals from major roads.

The state’s multi-agency approach aims to bring lasting change in road behavior and reduce accident fatalities through awareness, enforcement, and infrastructure improvement.
