PIMS Psychiatry Residents Emerge Runner-Up in Inter-College Quiz on Drug-Free India Campaign | Udaipur Kiran


Udaipur, November 6 (Udaipur Kiran): On the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (Drug-Free India Campaign), the Department of Psychiatry at Geetanjali Medical College, Udaipur, in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, organized an Inter-College PG Quiz Competition on the theme — “Say No to Drugs, Yes to Life.”

The quiz saw enthusiastic participation from all six medical colleges of Udaipur — including RNT Medical College, Ananta Institute of Medical Sciences, GBH Medical College, and both campuses of the Pacific Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS).

The competition featured five thrilling rounds focused on Addiction Psychiatry, where participants showcased their knowledge and quick thinking. Representing PIMS, Dr. Divya Chaddha (2nd-year resident) and Dr. Neelanka Ghosh (1st-year resident) performed exceptionally well, tying with the team from Geetanjali Medical College in the final round.

Dr. Divya Chaddha was particularly praised by faculty members from all colleges for her outstanding expertise and rapid responses. The PIMS team was declared runner-up in the event.

Congratulating the team, Dean and Professor Dr. Suresh Goyal, Medical Director Dr. Kamlesh Shekhawat, and Head of Department Prof. Dr. Praveen Khairkar commended the residents for their remarkable performance. The team also extended gratitude to Managing Director Mr. Naman Agrawal for consistently encouraging academic and co-curricular activities at the institute.

The event successfully spread the message of a drug-free lifestyle and inspired medical students across Rajasthan to contribute toward building a healthier and addiction-free society.
