Beijing, November 5 (Udaipur Kiran): Redmi appears ready to launch its next performance-focused smartphone, the Redmi Turbo 5, in China. The upcoming device, expected to debut as the world’s first smartphone powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 8500 SoC, has just received China’s 3C certification, signaling an imminent launch.
According to the 3C listing, a Redmi phone with model number 2511FRT34C has been approved, confirming support for 100W fast charging via an MDY-18-EW charger. The device had also appeared earlier in China’s radio certification database, strengthening expectations of an early debut.
As per leaks, the Redmi Turbo 5 will feature a 1.5K OLED LTPS display and run on Android 16 with HyperOS 3. It is rumored to include a massive 9,000mAh+ battery with 100W charging, making it one of the most powerful mid-range phones in terms of battery capacity.
The smartphone is also expected to come with an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, a metal middle frame, and IP68/69 dust and water resistance — giving it a premium build.
Meanwhile, reports suggest that Poco could launch a Poco X8 Pro globally, which may be a rebranded version of the Redmi Turbo 5.
