Western Disturbance Brings Rain Alert in Rajasthan; 11 Districts Under Yellow Warning | Udaipur Kiran


Jaipur, 3 November (Udaipur Kiran) — Weather conditions in Rajasthan are expected to change again as a new Western Disturbance becomes active over the region. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for 11 districts, warning of possible rainfall on Monday and Tuesday (3–4 November). The system’s impact is likely to be stronger on Tuesday.

During the past 24 hours, the state experienced dry weather with clear skies across major cities including Jaipur, Ajmer, Bhilwara, Kota, Jodhpur, and Bikaner. Daytime temperatures fluctuated slightly but remained on the warmer side.

The highest temperature was recorded in Jaisalmer at 36.1°C, followed by Barmer (35.5°C), Bikaner (35.2°C), Churu (34.1°C), Sriganganagar (34.4°C), Phalodi (34.8°C), Jodhpur (34.5°C), and Jalore (33.9°C). Other cities including Nagaur, Hanumangarh, Alwar, Kota, and Jaipur recorded temperatures between 31°C and 33°C. Despite mild daytime warmth, humidity was felt in several areas.

However, nighttime temperatures dropped noticeably, bringing a touch of winter chill. The lowest minimum temperature was recorded in Nagaur at 12.5°C, followed by Fatehpur (12.9°C), Sirohi (14.5°C), Sikar (14°C), and Ajmer (14.7°C). Jaipur recorded a minimum of 19.7°C, while Udaipur was comparatively warmer at 22.6°C.

According to the IMD, cloudy skies and light rainfall are expected in parts of western Rajasthan over the next 24 hours. The weather change is likely to lower daytime temperatures and increase the intensity of cold across the state.
