New Delhi, November 3 (Udaipur Kiran) — Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav has been released from the ongoing five-match T20I series against Australia after the third game. The team management decided to free him from the T20I squad so he can join the India A side for the upcoming four-day match against South Africa A, starting November 6 at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru.
Kuldeep, who did not feature in any of the first three T20Is, will now focus on red-ball preparation ahead of the two-match Test series against South Africa scheduled later this year.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed the development through its official account on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), stating that the move aims to help Kuldeep gain match practice with the red ball before the crucial Test series.
