
Udaipur, November 2 (Udaipur Kiran) — In a heartbreaking incident, three children, including two sisters, drowned after falling into a well while bathing in Dhola Kakar village under Jhallaara police station area of Salumbar district on Sunday evening.
According to police, the victims were identified as Khushbu (10) and Maya Meena (14), daughters of Chokha Meena, and Lokesh (13), son of Rupalal, who lived in the same neighbourhood. The three children had gone to bathe in the nearby well but did not return for a long time. When their families started searching for them, they were shocked to find their bodies floating in the water.
On receiving the information, Jhallaara police reached the spot and recovered the bodies with the help of local residents. The bodies were later shifted to the Salumbar Government Hospital mortuary for postmortem.
According to Ghatehd Patwari Deepesh Patidar, the children had gone out to bathe in the evening. When they didn’t return for hours, family members began searching and discovered the tragedy. Both sisters studied in Government Upper Primary School, Toota Mahuda — Maya in Class 7 and Khushbu in Class 5.
