130 E-Cigarettes Seized in Udaipur During Police Crackdown | Udaipur Kiran


Udaipur, November 1 (Udaipur Kiran) — In a major action under the E-Cigarettes (Prohibition) Act, 2019, police teams seized 130 e-cigarettes from different areas of Udaipur city during coordinated operations. The crackdown was carried out as part of a state-wide campaign launched by the Director General of Police, Rajasthan, Jaipur, to curb the online sale, storage, distribution, and production of e-cigarettes.

Following directives from Inspector General of Police, Udaipur Range, Gaurav Srivastava, a special team was formed under the leadership of Harsh Ratnu, Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime & Vigilance), and Gopal Chandel, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Leave Reserve Range Office, Udaipur. The team coordinated with local police station officers and conducted decoy operations on November 1, 2025.

The operations were carried out in the jurisdiction of Hathipole, Sukher, Badgaon, and Ambamata police stations, resulting in the seizure of 130 e-cigarettes of various brands and the registration of five separate cases.

Police officials confirmed that strict enforcement against the storage, distribution, and production of e-cigarettes will continue under the E-Cigarettes (Prohibition) Act, 2019.
