Ajmer, November 1 (Udaipur Kiran) — In a shocking case from Dungariya Kalan village under Kadal Panchayat, a man was brutally murdered by his own family members after becoming an obstacle in his wife’s illicit relationship. The victim’s wife, her lover, and their son have been arrested for allegedly conspiring and executing the crime using an axe.
According to police, the body of 50-year-old Nandaram Meghwal was found on the morning of October 29 in a bushy area near the village. The body bore deep injuries on the head and body, suggesting a brutal attack. Initially, the case appeared mysterious, but subsequent investigation revealed a chilling conspiracy behind the murder.
Police said Nandaram’s wife, Pushpa Devi (39), had been living separately from him for the past seven years. During this period, she developed an illicit relationship with Mahendra Khatri (28), a resident of Devanagar Road in Pushkar. When Nandaram came to know about the affair, he strongly opposed it, leading to frequent disputes between Pushpa and Mahendra.
Eventually, Pushpa and Mahendra plotted to eliminate Nandaram and roped in Pushpa’s 19-year-old son Kunal to help carry out the plan. Late on the night of October 28, Kunal, along with six friends — identified as Lekhraj Rawat (20), Dhanraj Kahar (19), Rahul Mehra (23), Jitendra Kahar (23), and two others — reached the village on three motorcycles.
At the time, Nandaram was sleeping alone in the house. The accused broke open a cement window to enter. Awakened by the noise, Nandaram tried to flee towards the bushes, but Kunal and his accomplices chased and caught him. They attacked him mercilessly with axes, killing him on the spot.
Police cracked the case four days later. Under the supervision of DSP (Rural) Ramchandra Chaudhary, the investigation team arrested Pushpa Devi, her son Kunal, lover Mahendra Khatri, and four others involved in the crime.
Authorities are now working to recover the murder weapon, motorcycles, and other evidence. Two suspects are still absconding. DSP Chaudhary confirmed that the murder was a premeditated act jointly planned by the wife, her lover, and the son.
