
Jaipur, October 31 (Udaipur Kiran): In a major action against organized crime, Bharatpur Police have arrested five members of a criminal gang who were allegedly planning to execute a loot or dacoity in the city. The operation was carried out under the direction of Superintendent of Police (SP) Digant Anand, with joint efforts by the Mathura Gate Police Station and the District Special Team (DST).
The arrests were made under the supervision of Additional SP and City Circle ASP Pankaj Yadav, and under the leadership of Mathura Gate SHO Madanlal Meena and DST In-charge Mukesh Kumar.
Arrests and Recoveries
Acting on a tip-off that a group of men were planning a robbery near the college ground, police teams swiftly surrounded the area and apprehended the suspects. The arrested accused have been identified as:

Police recovered two country-made pistols, three live cartridges, one used shell, and two motorcycles without registration numbers from their possession.
A case has been registered at Mathura Gate Police Station under the Arms Act and relevant IPC sections.
Confession of Four Robbery Cases
During interrogation, the accused confessed to their involvement in four robbery and dacoity cases across Bharatpur city and Deeg district, including:

October 1: Attempted robbery on a grocery trader in Jawahar Nagar (Mathura Gate area), where the victim narrowly escaped a gunshot.

October 20: Robbery from a grocery trader in Kumher, Deeg district.

Robbery near the vegetable market from a trader in Kumher Anaj Mandi about 20–25 days ago.

Loot near Jodhpur Misthan Bhandar after following a trader from the grain market.
How the Gang Operated
The accused revealed that they worked at the parking lot near Janana Hospital in Bharatpur. They used the place as a meeting point to plan crimes, conduct reconnaissance, and hide after executing robberies. They frequently used unregistered motorcycles to conceal their identities and evade police detection.
Police Commended for Quick Action
SP Digant Anand praised the coordinated efforts of SHO Madanlal Meena, DST In-charge Mukesh Kumar, and their team for the swift and strategic action that prevented a major planned robbery. Police believe that the gang may be involved in several other cases, and further interrogation is underway.
