Baran Police Arrest 7 Accused in Dhaba Firing Case, Main Shooter Bhura Gurjar Held with Weapon and Thar SUV | Udaipur Kiran


Jaipur, October 31 (Udaipur Kiran): In a major breakthrough, Baran Police have arrested seven accused, including the main shooter Nemichand alias Bhura Gurjar, involved in a firing and attempted murder incident that took place at a roadside dhaba in the Chhipabarod area six days ago. Police have also seized the white Thar SUV used in the crime.

Superintendent of Police Abhishek Andasu informed that the incident occurred on the night of October 24 around 9:00 PM. Complainant Sardar Singh Banjara, a resident of Bewadi, reported that he and his brother Guddu Banjara were at their dhaba located on Amlawada Road, when Nemichand alias Bhura Gurjar, a local liquor contractor from Danta, arrived in a Thar vehicle.

After asking for a cigarette, Bhura Gurjar pulled out a country-made pistol (desi katta) from his waistband and shot Guddu Banjara on his right arm with the intent to kill. The injured was immediately rushed to the Community Health Centre (CHC), Chhipabarod, for treatment. A case was registered at Chhipabarod Police Station, and an investigation was launched.

Swift Police Action and Arrests

Given the seriousness of the case, a special police team was constituted under the direction of Additional SP Rajesh Chaudhary, supervision of DySP (Chhabra) Vikas Kumar, and leadership of Chhipabarod SHO Ajit Singh. Acting swiftly, the team nabbed all seven accused, including the main shooter, within six days.

The arrested accused have been identified as:

  1. Nemichand alias Bhura Gurjar (33) – main shooter, resident of Danta

  2. Ramprasad Gurjar (40)

  3. Bhavani Singh alias Bunty Meena (39)

  4. Banwarilal Meena (46), residents of Mothpur

  5. Roshan Gurjar (28)

  6. Durgesh Gurjar (25), residents of Pali

  7. Rai Singh Gurjar (25), resident of Mohammadpur, currently living in Chhipabarod

Police have seized the white Thar SUV used in the crime from driver Ramprasad Gurjar.

Interrogation and Further Investigation

All arrested accused were produced before the court. The main accused Nemichand alias Bhura and Roshan Gurjar have been taken on police remand for further interrogation and recovery of the country-made weapon used in the attack. The remaining five accused have been sent to judicial custody.

SP Abhishek Andasu praised the team’s prompt and coordinated action, terming it a major success in the crackdown against organized crime in the district.
