Jaipur, October 26 (Udaipur Kiran): Under the ongoing Operation Chakravyuh, Pratapgarh police have achieved a major breakthrough by arresting a notorious member of the Kamal Rana gang involved in a large-scale narcotics case. The accused, Bhimsingh Bawri (45), son of Ramchandra, a resident of Sandikheda village under Chhoti Sadri police station and currently living in Chitakheda, Madhya Pradesh, has been arrested in connection with a two-year-old NDPS case involving 897.5 kilograms of illegal opium doda chura.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team from Chhoti Sadri successfully apprehended Bhimsingh Bawri from the Chitakheda area of Jeeran police station limits in Neemuch district, Madhya Pradesh. Police said the accused was not only involved in the massive drug seizure on 19 July 2022, but had also been declared an absconder earlier by the ADJ Court, Kapasan, in another NDPS case registered at Akola police station in Chittorgarh district.
Superintendent of Police B. Aditya informed that on 19 July 2022, Chhoti Sadri police had intercepted two Scorpio vehicles during a blockade near Bariya Pulia and recovered 897.500 kilograms of doda chura. The smugglers had managed to flee at that time. Investigations later revealed that Bhimsingh Bawri had provided his house to fill the narcotics and had assisted other gang members and smugglers from Marwar in packing the contraband.
