
Raigarh, October 26 (Udaipur Kiran): A senior officer of GAIL (India) Limited, posted in Raipur, was found dead under mysterious circumstances at Hotel Trinity Grand in Raigarh on Sunday morning. The deceased, identified as Tejram Bara, General Manager of GAIL India Limited, had arrived in Raigarh on October 25 to inspect the company’s gas pipeline work.
According to information, Tejram Bara was staying in room number 606 of Hotel Trinity Grand on Kotra Road. On Sunday morning, his wife tried to contact him several times, but he did not answer the phone. Worried, she called the hotel staff and requested them to check on him.
When hotel employees opened the room using a master key, they were shocked to find the officer lying unconscious on the floor beside his bed. He was immediately rushed to Jindal Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival after preliminary examination.
The exact cause of death is not yet known. Police have registered a case of unnatural death (marg) and sent the body to the district hospital for post-mortem.
Tejram Bara, originally from Bilaspur, lived on Mangla Road with his wife and daughter. His brother has also reached Raigarh after receiving news of the incident. Police said the cause of death will be confirmed only after the post-mortem report is received.
The GAIL India pipeline project runs from Nagpur to Jharsuguda through Chhattisgarh, and work on the line is currently underway.
