Ajayraj Singh Murder Case: 2 Arrested, Total Arrests Rise to 19 | Udaipur Kiran


Jaipur, October 26 (Udaipur Kiran): In a major breakthrough, Chittorgarh police have arrested two key conspirators involved in the murder of Ajayraj Singh Jhala, who was gunned down in a gang war at a hotel near Semalpura on the Udaipur–Kota four-lane highway on June 1. With these arrests, the total number of accused held in the case has now reached 19.

Superintendent of Police Manish Tripathi said that on the night of June 1, Ajayraj Singh Jhala, a resident of Mod Ji Ka Minnana, was having dinner with his friends on the terrace of a hotel near Semalpura Chauraha when the assailants launched the attack.

According to police, Manoj Chaudhary had conducted a recce of the area and shared Ajayraj’s exact location with the main accused, Ishwar Singh alias Hariom Singh, a resident of Det village. Acting on the tip, Ishwar Singh, accompanied by around 15 associates in three vehicles, reached the hotel and opened indiscriminate fire on Ajayraj and his companions, killing him on the spot.

After the brutal shooting, the assailants vandalised Ajayraj’s Duster and Bolero vehicles and set them ablaze using petrol.

Considering the gravity of the incident, multiple special police teams were formed under the supervision of Additional SP Sarita Singh, Circle Officer Vinay Chaudhary, and SHO Tulsiram to trace and arrest the culprits.

The first accused, Ishwar Singh alias Hariom Singh, a history-sheeter from Gangrar police station area, was nabbed from Ekme Paradise Second Residency, Manvakheda Road, Hiran Magri (Udaipur). Based on his interrogation, the second key accused, Rajpal Singh, son of Dalpat Singh, a resident of Bhairu Singh Ji Ka Chaukia, was later apprehended from his village.

Both accused carried a reward of ₹5,000 each announced by the SP office. Police have now arrested both and are conducting searches to recover the vehicles and weapons used in the crime.
