
Jaipur, October 24 (Udaipur Kiran): Weather conditions in Rajasthan are set to change from Sunday as a new western disturbance is expected to become active. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), light to moderate rainfall is likely in parts of southeast Rajasthan between October 26 and 28, especially in the Udaipur and Kota divisions.
Officials said that the night temperatures have already dropped across most cities in the state, with a decline of 1 to 3 degrees Celsius recorded. Following the upcoming rainfall, cold conditions are expected to intensify further.
Four cities — Sikar, Dausa, Nagaur, and Lunkaransar — recorded night temperatures below 15°C, with Sikar emerging as the coldest at 13°C.
Weather Systems in Play
Radheyshyam Sharma, Director of the Meteorological Centre in Jaipur, stated that a low-pressure area has formed over the Arabian Sea, while another cyclonic circulation persists over the southeast Bay of Bengal. A new western disturbance is likely to become active over northwestern India between October 26 and 27.
Under its influence, thunderstorms and light to moderate rainfall are expected in the Udaipur and Kota divisions between October 26 and 28, with the heaviest impact predicted for October 27–28. In some places, lightning and moderate rainfall may also occur.
Meanwhile, most other parts of the state are expected to remain dry, with no significant temperature change in the coming days.
Temperature and Humidity Updates
The highest day temperature in the state was recorded in Barmer at 37.6°C, while Pratapgarh recorded the warmest night at 21.8°C. The state’s humidity levels ranged between 34% and 94%.
In Jaipur, both day and night temperatures dropped by one degree, with the maximum at 31.8°C and minimum at 19.2°C. Light fog was also reported in some rural areas surrounding the city early in the morning.
