Western disturbance may bring rain to parts of southeast Rajasthan for three days | Udaipur Kiran


Jaipur, October 23 (Udaipur Kiran News): Another western disturbance is likely to affect Rajasthan later this week, bringing light to moderate rainfall over parts of the state between October 26 and 29. According to the Meteorological Centre, Jaipur, several cities in southeast Rajasthan, including areas of Kota and Udaipur divisions, may experience cloudy skies and scattered rain during this period.

Meanwhile, most other regions of the state are expected to remain mainly dry, though night temperatures are likely to fall by 1–2 degrees Celsius in the coming days. On Wednesday, 20 cities recorded minimum temperatures below 20°C, indicating a gradual dip in mercury across the state.

Radheshyam Sharma, Director of the Meteorological Centre, said that humidity levels in the state ranged between 30% and 75%, while the lowest night temperature was recorded in Sikar at 12.5°C. The highest daytime temperature was reported in Barmer at 37.4°C, while Sangaria recorded the warmest night at 22.7°C.

In Jaipur, the morning began with light clouds, followed by bright sunshine throughout the day. The city’s maximum temperature stood at 32.8°C, and the minimum at 20.4°C. Light haze prevailed from afternoon till evening. A similar weather pattern was observed in northern Rajasthan, particularly across Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Churu, and Bikaner districts.

Following rainfall on October 21 due to the previous western disturbance, skies remained clear on Wednesday, leading to a drop of up to 4°C in night temperatures. The minimum temperature was 15.9°C in Sirohi and 16°C in Sikar, while Pilani recorded a drop of 4°C with a low of 16.7°C. Daytime temperatures across most cities stayed below 32°C, with Pratapgarh, Jhunjhunu, and Udaipur recording highs of around 31.8°C.
