Mumbai, October 19 (Udaipur Kiran): South Indian actor Rishab Shetty visited the Arulmigu Ramanathaswamy Temple in Rameshwaram to offer prayers and express gratitude for the massive success of his film Kantara: Chapter 1, which has grossed over ₹500 crore at the box office. The film continues to perform strongly in theatres across the country.
Rishab shared a video of his temple visit on social media, writing, “Sought the blessings of Lord Shiva at the Arulmigu Ramanathaswamy Temple in Rameshwaram and expressed my gratitude for the immense love and support given to the blockbuster film Kantara: Chapter 1. The film is still running in theatres—if you haven’t watched it yet, please do.”
Before his Rameshwaram visit, Rishab Shetty also offered prayers at several other sacred sites. He participated in the Ganga Aarti in Varanasi, sharing the moment online with the caption, “The holy ghats of Kashi echoed with chants and devotion. Performed rituals in Varanasi as a gesture of gratitude for the unprecedented success of Kantara: Chapter 1.”
He later visited the Mundeshwari Temple in Bihar, the Chamundeshwari Temple in Mysuru, and the Srikanteshwara Temple in Nanjangud.
In a recent interview with IANS, Rishab praised his wife Pragathi Shetty’s contribution to the film, saying, “Pragathi had to balance two roles — working as a designer for Kantara: Chapter 1 while also managing our home and children’s education. It was a dual responsibility she handled beautifully.”
He added that shooting for risky sequences often made her anxious but she managed both her family and professional duties with grace. “As a designer, she ensured the costumes matched the tone and story of the film perfectly,” he said.
