Udaipur, October 19 (Udaipur Kiran): The Fatehnagar Police in Udaipur district have achieved a major breakthrough by busting a gang involved in multiple thefts across the region. Two accused have been arrested, and 10 stolen motorcycles, 11 solar panels, and other stolen items have been recovered from their possession.

According to police, on October 15, 2025, complainant Pappu Lal Dangi, resident of Kikawas, Vallabhnagar, reported that unknown persons had stolen 11 solar plates, a controller, and other electrical materials from his brother-in-law Gopilal Dangi’s agricultural land located in village Ladana, Mavli. Based on the report, a case (No. 174/2025) was registered under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, and an investigation was initiated.

Acting on the directions of District Superintendent of Police, Udaipur, Mr. Yogesh Goyal, and under the supervision of Additional SP Kherwara Mrs. Anjana Sukhwal and Circle Officer Mavli Ms. Ashima Vasvani, a special team led by Station House Officer (SHO) Chandrashekhar Kilania utilized technical intelligence to trace and arrest the accused —

1. Babulal, son of Omkar, resident of Dangi Basti, Khempur, Fatehnagar, Udaipur.

2. Prakash, son of Roop Lal, resident of Dangi Basti, Khempur, Fatehnagar, Udaipur.

During interrogation, the accused confessed to stealing solar panels from Ladana near Bhawal Factory and buffaloes from Bhansol, Gadhwada, Jawad, Palana, Gadoli Road, and Bhagwanpura. They also admitted to motorcycle thefts from Gudli, Salera Kala, Nathdwara, Udaipur, Mavli, and Dabok areas.

The police recovered a total of 10 motorcycles, 11 solar panels, and other stolen equipment.
