
Udaipur, October 17 (Udaipur Kiran): The Mental Well-being Club of Pacific Institute of Management, under the Pacific Academy of Higher Education and Research University, Udaipur, organised a special workshop on Art Therapy with Meditation to mark World Mental Health Day.
Renowned art therapist and trainer Shweta Pariwala guided participants through various techniques of meditation and art-based therapeutic practices. The workshop aimed to raise awareness about the importance of mental health and to help students discover creative ways to relieve stress through art.
During the interactive session, Pariwala showcased some of her artistic creations and explained how each artwork is connected to emotions and mindfulness. She encouraged students to express their feelings through colours and drawings, making the session both engaging and reflective.
Students participated enthusiastically, creating artworks that reflected their thoughts, emotions, and personal journeys. The atmosphere was filled with positivity and calmness as participants experienced the soothing effects of meditative art.
Dean of Management Faculty, Prof. Dipin Mathur, highlighted the importance of such workshops in academic settings, emphasizing that mental well-being is a vital aspect of both personal and professional growth.
Programme Coordinator Dr. Pallavi Mehta, along with student coordinators Ashish Anjana and Prince Mundra, ensured the smooth conduct of the workshop. The session concluded with a vote of thanks and a group reflection, leaving participants feeling peaceful and inspired.
The event successfully promoted the message of mental health awareness and underscored the role of creative expression in achieving emotional balance and well-being. Dr. Pushpkant Shakdwipi, Convener of the Mental Well-being Club, played a key role in conceptualising the event.
