Jaipur, October 16 (Udaipur Kiran): The ongoing police exhibition at JECC continues to draw attention with a series of insightful technical sessions focused on the implementation of new criminal laws, artificial intelligence (AI), forensic evidence, and prison reforms. The initiative aims to prepare the police force for the emerging legal and technological era.

The sessions, held under the supervision of ADG and Rajasthan Police Academy Director S. Sengathir, are designed to enhance awareness among police officers and legal stakeholders about the practical challenges and applications of the new criminal laws.

Focus on AI in Policing

The day began with a detailed session on Artificial Intelligence and its Role in Policing. Independent researcher Kshitij Verma presented insights on current AI trends and their use in law enforcement. ADG ATS and SOG V. K. Singh discussed the integration of AI into policing systems and the challenges faced in the context of new legal frameworks.

The session witnessed active participation from senior officers, including RPA Director S. Sengathir, IG SCRB Ajay Pal Lamba, Intelligence Training Academy Director Pradeep Mohan Sharma, and DIG SOG Paris Deshmukh, along with around 160 police officials.

Forensic Science in Focus

The next session featured a panel discussion on The Role of FSL under New Criminal Laws. The discussion included RPS probationers and students from the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU). Panelists—FSL Jaipur Director Ajay Sharma, former FSL Director S. S. Daga, and NFSU Campus Director Rakhi Agarwal—highlighted the evolving role of forensic science and interacted with over 120 participants.

Jail Reforms and Legal Provisions

A dedicated session was held for officers from the Bikaner Range and the Jail Department. IG Prisons Jaipur Vikram Singh briefed participants on new laws and innovations being adopted for prison reforms. About 190 officers took part in this discussion.

Challenges in Implementing New Criminal Laws

Another special session for Udaipur Range police officers focused on the key provisions of the new laws, technological aspects, and forensic evidence. Assistant Director of Prosecution Ramesh Choudhary and Inspector Dheeraj Verma led the discussion. Around 180 officers, from constables to Additional Superintendents of Police, deliberated on challenges in implementing the new legal framework.

These technical sessions are proving instrumental in helping Rajasthan Police align with new criminal laws and advanced technologies, ensuring more effective and modern law enforcement practices.
