Jaipur, October 15 (Udaipur Kiran): In a major crackdown against organised crime, the Kotputli-Behror Police have arrested hardcore criminal and history-sheeter Vikram alias Vicky during a special operation conducted by Harsora Police Station. The accused was caught with illegal weapons, liquor, and other suspicious items.

Superintendent of Police Devendra Kumar Bishnoi informed that on October 14, the police received a specific tip-off that history-sheeter Vikram, a resident of Khatoti, was travelling with his associates in a black Scorpio SUV carrying illegal arms and was heading from Bansur.

Accused Tried to Evade Police Blockade

Acting swiftly on the information, the Harsora Police set up a naka (checkpoint). On spotting the barricade, the accused attempted to break through and flee. The police team chased the vehicle, which later got stuck on a narrow farm road. The suspects tried to escape on foot, but police managed to apprehend Vikram alias Vicky, son of Madar Ram, while three of his associates fled under the cover of darkness.

Illegal Arms and Liquor Seized

From the arrested accused, police recovered one country-made pistol, one live cartridge, a crate of Heer Ranjha brand country liquor, the Scorpio vehicle used in the crime, and two Android mobile phones.
SP Bishnoi said that special teams have been formed to track down and arrest the absconding accomplices.

History of Serious Crimes

The arrested accused Vikram alias Vicky is a notorious history-sheeter of Harsora Police Station, involved in multiple cases including murder, robbery, dacoity, assault, and possession of illegal arms registered across different police stations.

This operation was carried out under the supervision of IG Jaipur Range Rahul Prakash and SP Devendra Kumar Bishnoi as part of an ongoing district-wide campaign to curb organised criminal activity.
