Udaipur, October 11 (Udaipur Kiran News) — In a tragic road accident on the Udaipur-Ahmedabad National Highway, four people were killed on the spot after a speeding trailer ran over them near Mayur Mill in Rishabhdev on Friday night. The impact was so severe that body parts were scattered across a 50-metre stretch, making identification extremely difficult.
According to reports, four people travelling in a Bolero were returning home after visiting a doctor in Udaipur. On the way, a buffalo suddenly appeared on the road. In an attempt to avoid hitting the animal, the driver lost control and the Bolero hit the divider and overturned on the opposite side of the road.
Fortunately, all four passengers managed to escape the overturned vehicle unharmed and stood on the divider. Moments later, a high-speed trailer lost control, climbed the divider, and ran over all four, killing them instantly. The collision was so violent that the victims’ bodies stuck to the road, and flesh was strewn across several metres.
The deceased were identified as:
-
Anil (30), son of Moolchand Meena
-
Basanti (54), wife of Moolchand Meena — both residents of Bhorai Ghata, Semari (Salumber)
-
Ishwar, son of Dhula Meena from Khema, Dungarpur
-
Jeeja Devi (24), wife of Jitendra Kumar Katara from Shaktawaton Ka Garha, Semari
Another victim, Kailash, son of Ganpatlal from Kishangarh (Ajmer), sustained serious injuries and was referred to Udaipur after initial treatment in Rishabhdev.
