Sony Launches Icon Blue Special Edition DualSense Controller for PS5 | Udaipur Kiran

Sony has unveiled a brand-new Icon Blue Special Edition of its DualSense controller for the PlayStation 5, inspired by the signature blue light that has defined the PlayStation brand since the PS4 era. The special edition features layered blue shades across the grips and lower shell, along with a glossy pattern of PlayStation symbols on the touchpad, creating a premium and nostalgic design.

The Icon Blue DualSense will be available starting October 20 in the United States and Canada, followed by Mexico and Chile on October 28. The retail price is set at $84.99 USD, CA$109.99, MXN $1,899, and CLP $93,490. The controller will be sold exclusively through Walmart stores and Walmart’s official online platforms in these regions.

A unique design touch includes Katakana characters on the back spelling out PlayStation in Japanese, paying homage to the brand’s Japanese origins. According to Leo Cardoso from Sony’s Color, Material, and Finish design team, the Icon Blue edition symbolizes the excitement and immersion that begins when the console’s signature blue light turns on.

Functionally, the controller retains all the features of the standard DualSense, including haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, motion sensors, a built-in microphone, USB-C port, and 3.5mm headphone jack. It is compatible with PS5, PC, and mobile platforms.

The launch is part of PlayStation’s 30th-anniversary celebrations, which kicked off on September 9. Sony has not yet confirmed if the Icon Blue edition will expand to other regions.

The new color joins an expanding lineup of DualSense variants, including Galactic Purple, Starlight Blue, Midnight Black, and multiple limited-edition game-themed designs.

In a related update, Sony also launched its WH-1000XM6 flagship noise-cancelling headphones in India, offering upgraded sound quality and advanced ANC technology.
