Jaipur, October 7 (Udaipur Kiran): Passengers on board IndiGo Airlines flight 6E-114 from Kolkata to Jaipur faced anxious moments on Monday night after the aircraft failed to land successfully at Jaipur Airport despite touching the runway. The plane remained in the air for about 35 minutes, circling above the city, before making a safe landing at 9:50 p.m.
The flight, scheduled to depart Kolkata at 7:25 p.m. and arrive in Jaipur by 9:00 p.m., took off on time but reached Jaipur around 9:15 p.m. During its first landing attempt, the pilot touched down on the runway but could not complete the landing and had to take off again immediately.
Following the missed landing, the aircraft stayed within Jaipur’s airspace for around 35 minutes, awaiting clearance for another attempt. Finally, at 9:55 p.m., the flight landed safely, bringing relief to the 60 passengers on board.
This incident follows similar occurrences last month, when IndiGo flights 6E-715, 6E-394, and Air India Express flight IX-2870 also failed to land on their first attempt at Jaipur Airport and had to take off again after touching the runway, causing inconvenience to passengers.
Meanwhile, SpiceJet flight SG-57 from Jaipur to Dubai, scheduled to depart at 9:30 a.m., has been delayed by 14 hours due to operational reasons. The flight is now expected to take off at 11:40 p.m., leaving passengers bound for Dubai waiting for several hours at the airport.
