
Jaipur, October 2 (Udaipur Kiran News): Due to a new weather system forming over the Bay of Bengal, parts of northeastern and southern Rajasthan continue to receive rainfall. On Thursday, Jaipur and around half a dozen cities witnessed light to moderate showers, and the wet spell is expected to continue for the next four days.
According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rainfall was recorded in Jaipur, Jodhpur, Nagaur, Alwar, Dholpur, and Karauli on Thursday. The department forecasts that rain activity will persist across parts of the state for the next 3 to 4 days, with an increase expected between October 5 and 7. During this period, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Ajmer, and Jaipur divisions may witness thunderstorms, strong winds, and heavy rainfall at isolated places.
On Wednesday, the highest rainfall was recorded in Merta City (Nagaur) at 38 mm. Sri Ganganagar remained the hottest with a maximum temperature of 37.5°C and a minimum of 27.6°C.
In Jaipur, light rain was accompanied by cloudy skies since morning. The weather changed in the afternoon with dark clouds and brief showers, which slightly disrupted Ravana Dahan celebrations. The city recorded 1.3 mm of rainfall. Jaipur’s maximum temperature rose to 32°C, while the minimum stood at 24.3°C, marking an increase of 1.7°C and 1.3°C respectively.
