(Udaipur Kiran News): Smartphone maker vivo has officially confirmed that it will launch the vivo Y500 Pro later this year as a premium mid-range offering under its Y-series lineup. The company recently introduced the standard vivo Y500 in China, featuring a massive 8,200 mAh battery, but the upcoming Pro variant will bring significant upgrades in the camera department.
According to vivo Product Manager Han Boxiao, the Y500 Pro will come equipped with a 200MP rear camera, making it the first phone in the Y-series to feature such a high-resolution sensor. The device will use Samsung’s ISOCELL HP5 200MP sensor, which has a 1/1.56-inch size and an f/1.88 aperture lens, promising enhanced clarity and detail in photography.
The vivo Y500 Pro is expected to debut by the end of this year, marking a major leap in camera technology for vivo’s mid-range lineup.
For comparison, the standard vivo Y500, launched earlier this month in China, features a 50MP primary rear camera with a 2MP depth sensor. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC, runs on OriginOS 5, and comes with an IP69 rating, along with a 6.77-inch AMOLED display offering a 120Hz refresh rate.
With the addition of a 200MP sensor, the Y500 Pro is expected to target users looking for flagship-grade photography in a mid-range price segment.
