Nagaur Police Bust Honey Trap Gang, Three Arrested Including a Woman | Udaipur Kiran

Jaipur, September 29 (Udaipur Kiran News): In a swift and decisive operation, Nagaur Police have busted a honey trap gang and arrested three accused, including a woman, for blackmailing a man using an obscene video recorded after administering an intoxicating substance. The accused had already extorted ₹4 lakh and were demanding an additional ₹50 lakh.

The operation was carried out under the direction of Superintendent of Police Mridul Kachhawa and the leadership of Kotwali SHO Vedpal Viran. The incident occurred nearly 20–25 days ago, and a case was registered on Sunday following a complaint by Vinod Sankhla (44), a resident of Housing Board.

According to the FIR, the accused offered the victim a cold drink laced with intoxicants, rendering him unconscious. During this time, they recorded an obscene video of him. After a few weeks, the accused called and threatened to make the video viral if he failed to meet their demands. Under pressure, the victim had already paid ₹4 lakh, and the gang later demanded ₹50 lakh more.

Taking the matter seriously, the Kotwali Police registered a case immediately and added sections related to organized criminal activity. Acting swiftly, the police team arrested the three accused from Nagaur town:

  • Mahendra Mali (27), son of Shaitanram, resident of Bagnada, Police Station Moondwa

  • Harendra Mali (30), son of Pannalal, resident of Atusar Bas, Police Station Kotwali

  • Aarti Sharma alias Pooja (20), wife of Vikas, resident of Gangashahar Bazaar, Bikaner

Police have appealed to the public to remain vigilant against such organized honey trap gangs. Further interrogation of the arrested suspects is underway, and officials expect to uncover more links and networks associated with the group.
