New York, September 24 (Udaipur Kiran News): French President Emmanuel Macron found himself stuck in heavy New York traffic on Tuesday when police blocked roads to make way for the motorcade of former US President Donald Trump.
According to media reports, a video circulating online shows Macron stepping out of his car after being delayed. In a light-hearted moment, he phoned Trump, jokingly asking him to “clear the road.”
Macron was on his way after addressing the United Nations General Assembly when the incident occurred. Another clip shows him visibly frustrated, arguing with a police officer and requesting passage through the barricades. The officer, while apologising, explained that the road was sealed to accommodate Trump’s motorcade, which consisted of more than a dozen vehicles.
In the video, Macron is also seen telling the officer, “If you don’t see the motorcade, then let me go through.” Eventually, unable to move forward, he called Trump, saying: “Hey, how are you? Guess what, I’m waiting on the road because everything is stopped for you!” By then, however, Trump’s convoy had already passed, leaving the road open only for pedestrians.
