Two Dummy Candidates Caught in SI Recruitment Exam Using AI Biometric Verification in Udaipur | Udaipur Kiran

Udaipur, September 16 : Police in Udaipur caught two dummy candidates during the ongoing constable recruitment examination after AI-based biometric verification exposed discrepancies in their identities. One suspect was detained from a Pratapnagar exam centre and another from a Sukher centre.

According to officials, Sunil Gurjar from Dholpur was stopped at Grigorius School in New Bhupalpura, while Pawan Sharma, also from Dholpur, was caught at Aravali College in Debari. The biometric system revealed that the candidates had appeared in earlier examinations under different names, raising suspicions of impersonation. They were immediately barred from writing the exam and handed over to the police for questioning.

Station House Officer of Sukher, Ravindra Charan, confirmed that an investigation is underway. “The matter is being probed and the facts will be disclosed soon,” he said.

This year, AI-powered biometric software has been introduced for the first time in the constable recruitment exam. The advanced system cross-verifies candidates’ details with past examination records, exposing impersonators and preventing organized cheating rackets. Police said further investigation is being conducted using the same technology.
