
Udaipur, 15 September (Patrika English News): A firing incident late Sunday night left property businessman and Anjuman Taleemul Islam cabinet member Mohammad Anees injured after he was shot by his nephew, history-sheeter Fardeen alias Ganja.
The attack took place around 11 pm when Fardeen allegedly fired from behind, hitting Anees on his lower back. The incident is said to be the result of a long-standing land dispute between the two. The accused fled immediately after the firing.
Locals rushed the injured Anees to hospital, where he is undergoing treatment. Police confirmed that Fardeen was recently released from Ajmer High Security Jail and already faces several criminal cases, including assault and possession of illegal weapons.
According to police, Mohammad Anees and his nephew had clashed multiple times in the past over property issues. Taking advantage of the situation on Sunday night, Fardeen allegedly shot Anees before escaping. Saviina police reached the spot soon after and have launched search teams to nab the accused.
