Hardik Singh, the vice-captain, said the supposed over-reliance on India skipper Harmanpreet Singh has been something the media and pundits have created, and for the team, it is all about stepping up when the captain isn’t at his best.

“I guess if focus is on Harman, I think it’s media’s focus and the experts outside, not ours. We play as a team and I guess if Harman is not scoring, then it becomes our job to score goals. And we don’t want to hide him, but if he is not scoring, it’s fine, we have good forwards,” said Hardik.
