Udaipur, 30 August (Udaipur Kiran). Where challenges can halt life’s journey, service and support give birth to new dreams. Once again, Narayan Seva Sansthan has proven that “no dream remains incomplete with love and dedication.”
On Saturday, the Sansthan’s 44th free mass wedding for the differently-abled and underprivileged began at Seva Mahateerth, Lions ka Guda, with Ganapati worship and auspicious prayers. Over the next two days, 51 couples (25 differently-abled and 26 able-bodied) will tie the knot in this unique event.
A Blend of Faith and Joy
At 10:15 am, Padma Kailash ‘Manav’, Kamla Devi, President Prashant Agarwal, Director Vandana Agarwal, Palak Agarwal, Jagdish Arya, and Devendra Chaubisa inaugurated the event with Ganesh worship. The stage was set alight with devotional performances including Ganesh Vandana, Shiv-Parvati wedding, and Radha-Krishna dance dramas, filling every face with devotion and joy.
Emotions Reflected in the Brides’ Smiles
Afterwards, traditional rituals of haldi and mehendi were performed for the brides. As the guests danced with enthusiasm to the beats of the dholak and wedding songs, the ceremony felt like a family celebration. Tears of joy welled up in the brides’ eyes as they said, “This day is like a dream for us, something we never imagined could happen.”
Special guests for the ceremony included Mahesh Agarwal and Satish Agarwal from Mumbai, Venkateshwar from Coimbatore, Praveen Gautam from Delhi, and S. P. Kalra from Delhi. The event also saw the honoring of donors and contributors.
Service Shapes Dreams
President Prashant Agarwal remarked, “Those who once accepted disability and poverty as their fate will now take seven sacred vows with their life partners. This is the result of the support from donors and society, and a proud moment for us.”
So far, 2,459 couples have started their families through the 43 previous mass wedding ceremonies conducted by the Sansthan. Many of these couples returned this year with their children to bless the newlyweds.
Seva Mahateerth Adorned With Happiness
The evening was made memorable by vibrant women’s musical performances. The newlyweds celebrated their new beginnings with songs and dance, while family members sang traditional wedding songs from their regions, sharing happiness in unison.
Couples from Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Bihar participated, giving the event a national flavor.
Where There Is Service, There Is True Celebration
Founders Kailash ‘Manav’ and Kamla Devi blessed all the couples, saying, “The greatest wealth in life is love and companionship, which makes every hardship easier.” Indeed, this ceremony is not just about marriage but a celebration of hope, dreams, and new beginnings—where every smile testifies, “There is no greater virtue than service.”
