India pacer Mohammed Siraj has confirmed that Jasprit Bumrah will play the upcoming Manchester Test against England. Bumrah’s participation in the fourth match of the series was a topic of big discussion as the team management had made the call that the star pacer will only play three Tests.
Bumrah played the first and third Tests at Headingley and Lord’s and missed the win at Edgbaston. Many fans and pundits, including Anil Kumble, had suggested that Bumrah should be playing in the crucial match in Manchester and Siraj has confirmed the pacer will be a part of the action.
“Jassi bhai toh khelengey jitna pata hai! (As much as I know, Jasprit Bumrah bhai will play)” said Siraj.
Speaking about the team combination for the match, Siraj remained coy on it and said whatever lineup would be picked will be in the best interest of the team.
“I don’t know much about the combination. Whatever will be chosen will be the best for the team,” said Siraj.
Bumrah has 12 scalps in the two matches he has played so far with two five-wicket hauls to his name.
