A 33-year-old German national was taken into custody after allegedly engaging in inappropriate behavior aboard SWISS Air flight LX918 from Zurich to Dresden earlier this week.
The incident unfolded mid-flight when a fellow passenger noticed the man masturbating and alerted cabin crew. According to Swiss news outlet Blick, the individual ignored initial warnings and required multiple warnings before he stopped.
A distressed passenger reportedly requested a seat reassignment due to the incident. Upon landing in Dresden at approximately 7.40 AM, Federal Police detained the man, who admitted to being “active” near two female passengers but denied exposing himself. Authorities are investigating the matter as a public nuisance violation.
A Swiss Air spokesperson confirmed the occurrence to DailyMail Online, stating: “One of the flight’s passengers behaved in an inappropriately intimate manner during the flight. The crew issued a warning to the passenger concerned. On arrival in Dresden, the passenger was handed over to the authorities.”
This incident comes after another recent controversy involving the airline, where leaked CCTV footage captured a couple engaging in an intimate act aboard a Swiss Air flight from Bangkok to Zurich. The recording, reportedly taken by cockpit-operated security cameras, was circulated by crew members, prompting an internal privacy investigation.
